    Location: Mall of Asia

Just a matter of recording most of my dining experiences, I'd like to share what I think about Sbarro, at least during this particular visit.

We ordered Baked Ziti with creamy ricotta, melted mozzarella and Romano cheeses as sauce (P96). Food facts: Ziti is a kind of pasta which is basically the same as penne (cylinder-shaped). Ricotta is made from sheep's milk. Though usually referred to as cheese, it is actually the leftover from cheese production.

We also had Baked Ziti with meatballs and meatsauce (P136). I find it overtly enterprising that they charge for "extra" meat sauce (P24) when it's basically an alternate for the cheese sauce. Anyway, that's that. As for the taste, it's okay, but not something that I would crave for.

We also ordered a slice each of Tuna Supreme (P110) and Super Supreme pizza (P114). We love their Super Supreme pizza. According to their website, "It’s called Supreme for a reason - melted mozzarella atop zesty pepperoni, seasoned Italian sausage, fresh peppers, mushrooms and onions, all over our savory sauce."

I sampled their Chicken Macaroni (P80). I'm not a fan of macaroni salads but this one tasted just right. :) FTW.

Trivia: Sbarro started out as an Italian grocery store in Brooklyn (1956). They offered homemade mozzarella, imported cheese, sausage and salami. They became successful in New York and it was in 1967 that they launched their first mall-based restaurant. In 2007, Sbarro was bought by MidOcean partners from the Sbarro family.
